The federal government of Nigeria has reiterated its commitment to empower youth by boosting employment and providing funds for enterprises with great potential.
This was disclosed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu this morning in his speech to commemorate 63rd independence anniversary of the country.
In his words, President Tinubu says,
“To boost employment and urban incomes, we are providing investment funding for enterprises with great potential. Similarly, we are increasing investment in micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.”
The youth of the country has sent a strong signal to politicians to make matters concerning youth a priority in this present political dispensation.
The youth in the country have suffered untold hardship occasioned by unprecedented unemployment, lack of social programmes to alleviate poverty and general welfare.
This has led to en-masse relocation of the nation’s youths overseas for greener pastures.
