The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disclosed that candidates from 15 institutions of higher learning will have their certificates pre-verified before completing their 2024 Direct Entry registration.
According to JAMB, their issuing institutions have declined to respond to repeated requests for verification of certificates.
The defaulting institutions comprise four universities, five polytechnics, and six colleges of education.
They are Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Kaduna State, University of Nigeria, Enugu, Enugu State, Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, Federal University of Technology, Owerri, and Imo State.
The Polytechnics are Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, Kaduna State, Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana Afikpo, Ebonyi State, College of Health Technology, Calabar, Cross River State, Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, VOM, Plateau State, and Best Solution Polytechnic, Akure, Ondo State.
The rest which are colleges of education consist of, Cross River State College of Education, Akamkpa, Cross River State, Kashim-Ibrahim College of Education, Maiduguri, Borno State, and College of Education, Katsina-Ala, Benue State.
Others are Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun, Osun State, Sheu Sagari College of Education, Sokoto, Sokoto State, and College of Education Waka-Biu, Borno State.
