The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the registration of Direct Entry candidates by two weeks. According to the Board, the registration has been extended from Wednesday, March 24 to April 11, 2024.
The Board commenced the 2024 Direct Entry on Wednesday, February 28, and was to have concluded it on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
JAMB explained that the extension is important to enable candidates to cope with the challenges of security measures put in place by the Board to nip the embarrassing cases of fake A’ level results being paraded by some DE candidates in the bud.
However, the Board said it regretted the inconveniences the development caused prospective DE candidates, promising that as it advanced in its efforts to normalize all procedures, the process would be made user-friendly.
The Board said it is committed to preventing candidates whose certificates were obtained through fraudulent means to benefit from such certificates.
It also added that candidate whose institutions were among the list of those that have yet to verify the certificates of their candidates, despite repeated calls to do so, would not be allowed to register without doing the needful.
