The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has said candidates without biometrics will not be allowed to sit for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) which will come up from April 19 to 29, 2024.
The Board on its January 8, 2024 bulletin, a weekly publication of the Office of the Registrar, disclosed that any candidate who experienced biometrics challenges at the point of their UTME registration would complete their registration formalities as well as sit for their UTME at the National Headquarters in Abuja.
According to the Board, all candidates with biometrics challenges would sit for their examination on the last day of the national examination calendar.
It warned that no CBT centre is permitted to register such candidates as the system will not permit or process any examination for unverified candidates.
Meanwhile, the Board has released guidelines for candidates on ticketing and retrieving lost profiles.
To access the ticketing platform to register complaints, candidates or complainants are expected to create their support tickets on http//www.jamb.gov.ng by selecting “Quicklinks,” and “Ticketing/Support” with their registered e-mail address with the Board.
They are to provide their phone numbers as well as the complaints and select a complaint area on a drop-down to summarize their complaints.
For complaints related to NIN, candidates should follow the same process on the ticketing platform and click on 2024 NIN-related issue, then select the related topic in the drop-down.
To retrieve the lost profile code, candidates are to send RESEND from the same mobile number they use to initiate the registration process with the Board to 55019 or 66019 as a text message.
