The Kwara State Government is set to conduct a free common entrance examination into Junior Secondary Schools across the 16 local government areas of the state on August 19.
According to Press Secretary Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Peter Amogbonjaye in a release, the examination which is fully paid for by the Kwara State Government is free of charge and will commence by 8:00 am.
The ministry, therefore, cautioned all headteachers and principals against collecting money from pupils or their parents.
It warned, ” Any headteacher/principal caught in such unlawful act will be sanctioned accordingly.”
“The Ministry also advises pupils to prepare for the examination as no form of malpractice will be tolerated,” it warned.
