Lagos State University and Aston University, a British University situated in Birmingham, have entered into a partnership that will promote research and innovation.
The collaboration was facilitated Wednesday Nov. 15, 2023 as the two institutions held a fruitful deliberation at the office of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi, Olatunji-Bello.
The VC expressed the readiness of LASU to buy into a partnership that will propel the leading state university in Nigeria to global prominence.
Speaking on the role of the directorate in actualising the dialogue, a leading official of the Directorate of Linkages, Partnerships and Collaborations, Professor Kabir Akinyemi, expressed that the meeting with Aston was facilitated based on Aston’s reputation for excellence in research.
He added that Aston University has the resources and experience to create a partnership with far-reaching benefits with LASU.
The Programme Director for MSc. Information Systems and Business Analytics at Aston University, who led the Aston team to LASU, Dr Amara Ajaegbu, was optimistic about the collaboration on grounds of huge potentials in LASU.
