The Nigerian movie industry is thrown into mourning again as it witnessed the demise of veteran actor and Nollywood superstar, Dejumo Lewis.
Another Nollywood actor, Saheed Bologun broke the news on his Instagram page where other actors have since been expressing their condolences.
Nollywood stars like Funsho Adeolu, Eniola Badmus, Femi Davies, Yusuf Omobolanle, Taiwo Oduala, Mustapha Sholagbade and many others have reacted, expressing that Lewi’s soul rest in peace.
As and when Balogun broke the news, information was sketchy about the cause of Lewis’ death who passed away at age 80.
Nollywood, months back, was devastated by the death of stars like Yemi Adeyemi aka ‘Suara,’ Sidikatu Odukanwi aka ‘Iyabo Oko,’ Murphy Afolabi among others.
Lewis was famous in The Village Headmaster, the longest-running television soap opera shown on NTA from 1968 to 1988 where he acted as ‘Oloja.’
He acted in films such as ‘A Place in the Star,’ ‘Crossroads,’ and ‘Power of 1.’
