Hauwa Abatcha Ngala, a 21-year-old student at the University of Maiduguri might not be lucky for rejecting a love proposal from a student of Biochemistry, Saleem Ibrahim, at the same University.
According to Lindaikejiblog, Ibrahim had been pressurising Ngala, a student of the College of Nursing Sciences, to consider his love proposal, which she refused to comply with.

However, Ibrahim could not bear the rejection; hence he resorted to physical assault by beating her to a pulp with a club until Ngala lost consciousness.
A security analyst and counter-intelligence expert, through whom this was disclosed, said the police had arrested Ibrahim.
However, Ibrahim was later released on the order of the Borno State Secretary to the Government, Honourable Bukar Tijjani.
