By June 24, 2023, Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates who sat for 2023 examination into universities, polytechnics, and other tertiary institutions will know their fate. The event of the determination and presentation of the cut-off marks will come up at National Judicial Institutes (NJI).
Expected at the meeting are bodies such as National Universities Commission (NUC), National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) among others.
The official bulletin of the Board released by the Director Public Affairs (DPA) of JAMB, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, stated that two representatives each are expected from each institution invited who must be heads of the institutions and any other one official of such institution.
JAMB will set admission guidelines, discuss and analyse candidates’ performance, as well as analyse application statistics, including evaluation of 2023 admission exercise.
Also the Board will set the acceptable minimum admissable score to be applied in all admissions by all tertiary institutions
It could be recalled that institutions were allowed to determine their own minimum allowable cut-off marks of admission in 2022.
