Demonstrating its commitment to develop the entrepreneurial ability of students, the University of Lagos Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Centre (ESDC) has trained a set of outstanding students across all departments within the institution.
This came up on Friday 14, 2023 as the centre held a graduation ceremony for the 2022 Cohort of the Transnational Entrepreneurship Course (TEC)
During the course, the selected students were trained for three months on the rudiments of entrepreneurship and how they can deploy it to tackle the challenges of the society in a profitable manner.
The selected special students compared notes and experiences with other students form University of Senegal and University of Iowa, United States of America as the training was being held.
The training also exposed the participants to work on case study projects, and deliver on tasks that resulted in prototype.
In her words of commendation for the Director of ESDC, Professor Sunday Adebisi, the Deputy Vice Chancellor ( Development and Services) of the university, Professor Ayodele Atsenuwa, described him as an asset to the university.
Professor Atsenuwa also praised the interest of the graduating course members in entrepreneurship, encouraging them to use what they were taught in giving back to the society.
Speaking during the occasion, a participant, Naomi Ogbeche, expressed that the course changed her mind, and even though it was tough. It was as well enlightening.
