The remains of Herbert Wigwe, his wife Chizoba, and their son Chizitere have returned to Nigeria for their final burial on March 9, 2024.
The family had announced a seven-day plan for their funeral ceremonies. The mourning period began with a service at the Eko Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, on March 4, 2024.

Friends, well-wishers, and colleagues were invited to honour Herbert Wigwe’s professional legacy. Wigwe, his wife, son, and Ogunbanjo lost their lives in the ill-fated Flight N130CZ, operated by Orbic Air LLC.
The flight departed from Palm Springs, California, at 8:45 pm but was last seen near Fort Irwin/Barstow, California, at 9:49 pm on February 9, 2024.
