The Director of the Directorate of Computer-Based Tests at the University of Ilorin, Prof. Kamilu Rauf, has revealed plans to construct a dedicated building for students and individuals with special needs.
This announcement was made during a recent interview on UNILORIN 89.3 FM, the university’s official radio station.
Prof. Rauf highlighted that this initiative is part of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN’s commitment to advancing the university’s progress and development.
He noted the successful organization and conduct of ten internal and external examinations at the center, including the Post UTME, Police recruitment examination, National Teachers’ Institute Examination, JAMB Mock, and Remedial Examination, among others.
The CBT Centre, according to Prof. Rauf, boasts six halls with a capacity of 250 students each, allowing for a total capacity of at least 1500 students simultaneously.
He emphasized that the center serves as a model not only in Nigeria but throughout Africa.
Prof. Rauf reiterated the center’s commitment to conducting examinations with transparency, objectivity, and professionalism, free from malpractice.
He expressed satisfaction with the cooperation received from lecturers, students, and staff involved in various examinations.
Furthermore, he praised the quick release of examination results, noting that all candidates who participated in the last post-UTME screening received their results within twelve hours.
Prof. Rauf expressed gratitude to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olubunmi Abayomi Omotesho, and other university officials for their continuous support.
