The registration for Direct Entry (DE) programme has been shifted till after the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and National Population Census exercise, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said.
According to JAMB, this will accommodate UTME, which started on Tuesday April 25, 2023, ending on Wednesday March 3, and census, which starts the same day that UTME ends, and closes on Friday May 5.
Upon this, candidates for DE must ensure their DE ePins are obtained from designated vending outlets on or before April 30 when ePin vending closes.
For completion of their registration procedure, candidates are expected to proceed to the Board’s offices from Saturday May 6 to Saturday May 13.
The Board promised that all candidates would be given the chance to register in-as-much-as such candidates comply with the directives within the time frame.
It encourages candidates to buy into it’s new innovations in a bid to nipping the incidences of falsifications of results, data and infractions in the bud.
