The Director of Asaga Ohafia Community Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Abia State, Dr Nkata U. Kalu, has advised the students of the institution to be of good character. Kalu said this during a one day orientation programme organized for the students, adding that the students should shun the acts capable of putting the name of the institution in disrepute.
He charged them further to take their studies seriously, as well as be part of the NOUN Advocacy ambassadors of spreading the good message of the University both within and outside the host community.
He expressed that the exercise was necessitated by the decision of the management of the centre to acquaint students of the mode of operations in NOUN, as well as make useful information that would enhance their academic excellence available.
