An alumnus of Millennium Senior Secondary School, Egbeda, Samuel Samilola Oladejinde, recently highlighted the importance of learning to the students during the World Literacy Day organized by the school authority.
He advised the government and the society at large to create an enabling environment capable of encouraging learning among students.
Samuel Damilola Oladehinde, a product of the school was guest speaker at the International World Literacy Day tagged “LET ME LEARN”.
The event was hosted in conjunction with Lions Club International (LEO District 404B1 Nigeria – Region 2) and Egbeda Leo Club.
After the lecture, the Lions Club also used the occasion to donate Laboratory stools and whiteboards to the school.
The school was established on 6th January 2003 with Mr. S.M.A. Adekanye as Principal, 22 teachers and 1500 students. The school Anthem was put in place on the 20th of March 2003, and on the 25th of October 2007, Mr. Adekanye was redeployed to Resource Centre District 1 Headquarters on the 6th of December 2007, Ojomu B.A. Mrs. later came as the principal.
