The administration of Federal Polytechnic Bauchi has officially disclosed the roster of successful candidates admitted into its National Diploma (ND) programs for the upcoming 2023/2024 academic session. This announcement aims to prompt prospective students to commence preparations for the coming academic term after a period of anticipation to confirm their admission status.
Prospective students can verify their acceptance by checking their names on the FPTB online portal, where essential details such as the academic year and application number are required for list access. Additionally, candidates are required to either accept or decline the admission offer through the JAMB CAPS platform and print the corresponding JAMB admission letter.
As part of the registration process, aspiring students must submit a medical fitness certificate from a qualified practitioner.
The historical background reveals that Federal Polytechnic Bauchi commenced preliminary operations in May 1979.
However, academic activities officially commenced on 22nd November 1979, with an initial enrollment of 245 students distributed across eleven departments. Except for those admitted for the introductory course, all other students were enrolled in the 4-year Nigerian National Diploma (NND) Programme.
During its inception, the Polytechnic boasted an initial staff strength of 138, including 45 senior staff and 93 junior staff members.
