The University of Lagos has announced a final opportunity for admitted candidates who have not yet commenced their Central Admission Clearance (LACACA) to upload their documents. The Vice-Chancellor,
Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, has approved a Special LACACA (S-LACACA) operation for these students.
The concerned students, who have been offered admission but have not completed the necessary steps such as updating their O’level results on JAMB CAPS, accepting admission on JAMB CAPS, and changing their course on the JAMB portal, are advised to take advantage of this opportunity.
Candidates were informed of these requirements via direct mail, SMS, and notifications on their dashboards by the DICT. Those who need to regularize their name issues are also urged to do so immediately.
The procedure for the S-LACACA is as follows: Concerned candidates should visit the LACACA portal online at https://lasu.edu.ng/central_admission_clearance/student and upload all required documents as listed on the portal. They should then submit all uploaded documents to the admission office for further processing. All submissions must be made on or before Thursday, 28th March 2024.
Cleared candidates can check the matriculation number portal on the website for their matriculation number on Friday, 29th March 2024, starting from 10:00 am. Rejected candidates will be notified by mail and are advised to see the admission officer for further advice.
Students who already have matriculation numbers should use the extended registration window to register for courses.
This compassionate extension is provided by the university, with a strong urging for candidates and students to adhere to deadlines for processes as stipulated by the university.
