The Deputy Director of Human Resources, Huawei Technologies, Mr Adebayo Akinsulie, has praised the Covenant University (CU) for grooming and nurturing talents who have contributed to resources pool of Huawei as an organization. Akinsulie made this known while he was on a courtesy visit to CU, saying the occasion has given Huawei opportunity to engage directly with the students and share with them the career prospect of working with the organization.
He added that the visit was imperative to see the source of academic training and interact with them having experienced that the products of CU, both at the internship and graduate trainee programmes, are of quality.
As he responded, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Abiodun H. Adebayo stated that evolving an academic curriculum that will position her students ahead of their peers from other institutions is intentional.
He added that the intention of the Board of Regents of the University is always to develop a robust learning environment that will make students and graduates of CU ready for deployment in work place.
Professor Adebayo looked forward to seeing a deeper partnership between Huawei and CU towards creating a platform devising a mutually beneficial solutions and kick-start joint research-based endeavour that will help advance industrial and academic rapport.
The occasion afforded final year students and those who would go on internship to be exposed to career prospects and pathways to becoming members of Huawei family in Nigeria.
