The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has denied the result print-out of Ejikeme Chioma Mmesoma, saying such print-out did not emanate from the board. According to JAMB Spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin, while speaking at a media chat, Mmesoma’s result print- out is unique to her, and that the examination body does not issue that kind of result, saying she is the only person parading the type of the result slip all over.
JAMB still insisted that the result being branded by Mmesoma is “patently falsified,” saying she altered a copy of a result slip of a candidate named Asimiyu Mariam Omobolanle who sat for the UTME in 2022 and scored 138.
Meanwhile, Mmesoma has denied forging her result in a short video released by her, pleading her innocence.
She displayed her JAMB result which she claimed was obtained from JAMB portals, insisting that she was the owner of the result.
The result slip she obtained showed her aggregate where she scored 362. However, upon scanning the QR code on the result a Yoruba name, Omotola Afolabi who scored 138 originally but upon which 238 is also being displayed, kept popping up, indicating a fowl play and infraction somewhere.
According to Mmesoma, her principal and Education Secretary approached the Anambra State Commissioner for Education who invited the DSS officials where they made statement, promising to investigate the case to know where the result emanated from.
She alleged JAMB did not wait for the investigation before reaching the conclusion that the result was forged.
According to her, she is traumatised for being alleged to have manipulated her result saying, “I’m brilliant. I always come first since my nursery school days. I scored more than 300 mark in my Common Entrance Examination.”
However, the Anambra State Government has waded in calling for probe of the allegation, as Dr Oby Ezekwesili also requested for forensic investigation into the matter.
