The University of Lagos, Akoka has set conditions before its candidates for eligibility for Post-UTME Screening Exercise. The Post-UTME aptitude test will be conducted online from Monday July 31 to Friday August 4, 2023.
According to a statement signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Oladejo Azeez, candidates who made the University their first choice in the 2023/2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) who scored 200 and above are eligible for screening.
Having zero tolerance for drug abuse, the University warned that candidates must not test positive to drug use whenever the University conducts the test, either before or after registration.
It emphasised that candidates must possess five credit passes at one sitting in relevant O/Level subjects including English language and Mathematics.
According to the release, only candidates who must have uploaded their O/ Level results on JAMB Central Admissions Processing Systems (CAPS) on or before August 13, 2023 will be considered for admission.
It warned that candidates who will not be 16 years of age by October 31, 2023 are not eligible and need not apply.
Also candidates who do not participate in the Post-UTME Screening will not be considered for admission.
The University gives concession to former students of the University whose admission were withdrawn on the basis of poor academic performance or absence of status could re-apply on condition that the new programme/course shall be a new course different from the former programme/course.
It also warned that any student expelled from the University cannot be offered fresh admission.
