The Senate of the University of Ilorin in Kwara State has elected Professor Adegboyega Adisa Fawole from the Faculty of Clinical Sciences as the new Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research, Technology, and Innovation).
This election was conducted under the University’s Miscellaneous Provision of Decree No. 25 of 1996.
Professor Fawole’s appointment was a significant highlight of the 299th Meeting of the University Senate, which took place on Monday, February 12, 2024.
Tijani Abu, the principal owner of Tabuchi Techno-Environmental Sustainability, congratulated Prof. Fawole on LinkedIn, stating, “Congratulations on your election as DVC of research, technology, and innovation.
A position for which you are academically and technically qualified.
You exhibit the total composition of the requirements of this office. It is expected that you will continue to add significant value to the progress already in place.”
Prof. Fawole is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with extensive experience in medical education, research, and clinical practice.
He has a special interest in Gynaecological Oncology practice and is an experienced administrator in both the public and private healthcare industry.
