The University of Abuja is warming up for its 28th convocation ceremony coming up on Saturday, February 17, 2024.
According to the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah, who is inviting members of the public on behalf of the Senate, the convocation shall commence by 10:00 am, of which no graduand shall be allowed into the convocation arena after 9:00 am.

The Vice-Chancellor disclosed that the guest lecturer for the occasion shall be the Senior Consultant, Hamad Medical Corporation, Dohar, Qatar, Dr Arabo Ibrahim Bayo.
During the occasion, the University shall be graduating and awarding bachelor’s Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas, Master’s Degrees, Doctorate, and Honourary Degrees to worthy students at the University Convocation Square, Main Campus, Airport Road, Abuja.
Professor Na’Allah informed that all graduands are to assemble in front of the Senate Building on Saturday, February 17, by 7:30 am for the procession.
He warned that luggage and bags would not be allowed into the convocation arena and that car stickers provided should be pasted on vehicles for easy direction of guests to designated parking lots by the University.
The VC also directed that all academic gowns must be returned no later than 6:00 pm on Monday, February 19, 2024, of which late submission shall attract a surcharge of N5,000.
