Babcock’s commitment to advancing research and fostering student entrepreneurship received a significant boost with a recent meeting between the University administration and a delegation from the University of Glasgow.
Led by Dr. Iyke Ikegwuonu, an alumnus of Babcock, the four-member delegation engaged in discussions aimed at identifying potential areas of collaboration between the two institutions.
Highlighted opportunities include the development of joint programs within Babcock Business School’s blended and experiential learning framework.
These initiatives aim to enhance entrepreneurship modules, such as the “buddy system,” facilitating collaborative student engagement in project management, mentorship, business ideas incubation, and research endeavours.
Expressing optimism about the partnership’s potential, Prof. Philemon Amanze, Senior Vice President of Academics at Babcock, emphasized the prospects for mutual benefit and the reinforcement of existing relationships.
The discussions, which involved the Office of Research and International Collaboration and various faculty members, reflect a proactive approach to exploring avenues for collaboration and innovation between the two institutions.
