The students of Faculty of Engineering, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Akwa, (UNIZIK) have emerged victorious in the recently concluded CODET 2023 Engineering Students Competition held in CHISCO Auditorium of UNIZIK.
In the competition, the Department of Electrical Engineering secured the overall first position, while the Department of Industrial and Production Engineering came third.
Each participating university presented a minimum of two innovation projects developed by their recent graduates during the competition.

According to the Chairman CODET UNIZIK, Dr Ogwugwam C. Ezeagwu in a release signed by him, the competition attracted prominent universities in the South-east region of the country.
The participating universities were the host, UNIZIK, University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Madonna University, Anambra (MUA), Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) and Imo State University, Owerri (IMSU).
The emergence of UNIZIK as the overall best in the competition has qualified the students to participate in the CODET National Competition, which will come up August in Abuja.
