The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) has announced that it will confer the Fellowship Status on qualified members on December 16, 2023.
This was contained in an announcement by the Institute signed by Mr Mukaila A. Lawal, adding the event will come up at Landmark Event Centre, Corporation Road, Oniru Victoria Island by 11:00 am.
According to Lawal, the application is strictly and exclusively online, as members are to pay at any commercial bank and go to www.icanonline.ngr.com/paydirect.
To be eligible for Fellowship Status members who are in practice must hold a licence to practise for 5 years on or before January 1, 2018 and be in continuous practice, using the licence on his or her own or in partnership with other accountants.
Members not in practice must have enrolled as Associate (inducted) not less than ten years immediately preceding the date of the next conferment ceremony.
To qualify for Fellowship Status the fellowship application must be completed by following the procedure, while members seeking the status must belong to a district, as well as pay all outstanding membership & district society dues before applying.
The Fellowship Status of ICAN is the highest designation a member can attain in his or her professional career as a Chartered Accountant.
