Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji Bello, mni, NPOM, Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University has advised the students of the institution to integrate skills acquired during the students’ exhibition fair.
The Vice-Chancellor stated this during a two-day exhibition fair for students from the Ikeja and Ojo campuses of the university on the 10th and 11th of January 2024 which event took place at the open space opposite the Buba Marwa Auditorium on the main campus in Ojo, Lagos.
Dr. Habeeb Sanni, the Acting Director of DSDE, said that the fair served as an assessment for 300-level students undertaking the ENT 302 course.
During the fair, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji Bello, mni, NPOM, the Vice Chancellor, welcomed attendees to the exhibition, marking the 7th in its series. The Professor of Physiology emphasized the importance of acquiring skills that can be transformed into profitable businesses in today’s competitive job market.
Earlier, Acting Director Dr. Sanni, in his welcome address, reiterated the directorate’s commitment to training world-class students.
He outlined over thirty-six entrepreneurship vocational skills, including bead making, organic soap and cream production, leatherworks, soap and toiletries manufacturing, paint making, electrical installation, welding and fabrication, cake making, event planning, animal husbandry, hairdressing, interior decoration, crop farming, computer technology, fashion designing, solar energy construction and installation, yoghurt production, writing & publishing, website development, water treatment, tourism & entertainment.
