The West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) has launched a self-portal platform for candidates to enable them interact directly with the examination body. The decision, according to a statement from WAEC, is aimed at stemming the tide of high rate of misinformation arising from partner schools.
The process, which will be operated through CHATBOT platform, will enable the candidates have access to their entries independently.
The self-portal platform corroborates the process instituted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board to rid its process of intrusion from parents who are fond of meddling with its operational processes.

The alleged interference by parents have variously resulted in distortions of data of many of their students.
It has further prevented many candidates from sitting for their examination, while those that were able to take their examination paraded records that did not correlate with their original bio data which made it difficult for them to further their studies.
