The students of Federal University of Oye Ekiti, have rated their lecturers high in attending to them and ensuring that they are well taught. This was the students’ response when asked by the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB), Professor Adewale Okunnuga to give their assessment of the lecturers.
JUPEB was on an inspection visit to the Mini campus of the institution located at Ilupeju Ekiti on what would lead to the renewing of the accreditation of the institution.
The lecturers on their part also rated the students high on attendance of classes, participation in the class and academic performances based on earlier tests and the first semester examination that had been conducted.
The lecturer disclosed further that a substantial part of the syllabus had been covered in other to get the students ready for the centrally conducted examination later in the year.
When moving round the facilities available for teaching on the campus, Professor Okunnuga expressed his satisfaction with what he saw.
Professor Okunnuga said, “…we want to commend your efforts at ensuring that you do your best for the students to come out in flying colours.
Speaking for FUOYE, JUPEB Programme Director, Dr Gabriel Ogunleye assured JUPEG Registrar that the University administration would continue to put in her best in sustaining academic excellence.
