Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has said that government is on top of the situation following an explosion that rocked Bodija area of Ibadan yesterday night.
The massive explosion occurred around 8pm yesterday night.

The governor has urged the people not to panic as government and security agencies are doing everything within their power to make the city secured for the residents.
According to Governor Makinde, two people died in the explosion while 77 people are receiving treatments at the University of Ibadan Teaching Hospital (UCH).
However, an eye witness living in Ibadan who prefers anonymity told BlackCampus in a phone conversation that many people died in the incident and many people were also rushed to different hospitals in the city.
Report reaching BlackCampus has it that the explosion was caused by explosives stored in a building by miners in the area.
Governor Makinde also advised people in the state to give useful information to security agencies whenever they notice strange movements or activities in their area to guide against such occurrence.
