Fourteen law graduates of Ekiti State University and Lagos State University have clinched first class at the Nigerian Law School. This was obtained in the recent result released by the foremost institution after the completion of the Bar final examination results.
Five students out of 14 graduated from EKSU, while nine out of 14 graduated from LASU.
The five EKSU students who brought glory to their school are Awwal O. Lateefat, Oyewole Babatunde, Aregbesola Tayo, Olusoga Oluwatoyin, and Okunlade Ileri.
From LASU, the following students shone like bright stars among others: Akinmusire Sina Victor, Owolabi Yusuf Olatunji, Badmus Sulaimon Ayodele, and Oyede Mariam Adejumoke.
Others are: Afolabi Aderonke Salmat, Lawal Adebisi Bilqees, Haastrup Adetumbi Wuraola, Fagbolade Ewaoluwa Blessing, and Ogungbo Azeezat Toluwalase.
EKSU Management stated in a release signed by the Head Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs, Bode Olofinmuagun, that it was committed to producing high-quality graduates who could compete favourably with their counterparts in any part of the world.
The Vice Chancellor of EKSU, Professor Edward Olanipekun, has since congratulated the successful graduates for making the University proud.
The nine brilliant graduates from LASU were said to be the highest number attained so far in a single academic year in the history of the Faculty of Law in the University.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, who celebrated the outstanding Performance, was excited.
She congratulated the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor Olatoye, and the entire Faculty, saying the result was evidence of the dedication and diligence of all staff which she was proud of.
It could be recalled that during the 26th Convocation held in June 2023 at LASU, the Faculty of Law produced the Best Graduating Students with a 5.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).
